What membership means

Confidence, service, and a team beside you.

Members learn to think clearly, communicate well, and support Cedar Grove residents during evening and overnight coverage. The squad provides training, issued equipment, and a path into EMS responsibility.

Before you apply

A few things to know.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old. The application will guide you through the correct process based on your date of birth.

Current active response coverage is 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, seven days per week. Daytime shifts are not currently available.

Members attend regular squad meetings, training sessions, and operational updates as part of active service.

The squad provides free BLS training if needed. New members are expected to enroll in EMT training within one year after joining if they are not already EMT certified.

Submission of an application is the first step and does not guarantee acceptance.

Before you begin.

What is the minimum age to apply?

Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Applicants who are 16 or 17 use the High School application path. Applicants 18 and older use the regular adult application path.

Do I need to already be an EMT?

No. The squad provides free BLS training if needed. New members are expected to enroll in EMT training within one year after joining if they are not already EMT certified.

When is active coverage?
